LAKE STEVENS PLANNING COMMISSION HOSTING PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS

TOPIC: The purpose of the Public Meeting is to discuss the Planned Action Ordinance, which sets the development thresholds for the Downtown Plan. The Planning Commission will also discuss the proposed development regulations for the plan as part of their agenda. Public Hearings over the entire plan will occur in June.

FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT (FEIS) – PUBLIC REVIEW 

TOPIC: The city is considering the following actions, as part of the SEPA Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS): adoption of a subarea plan and designation of the subarea as a planned action.  The FINAL EIS has been prepared to comply with the requirements of the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA).  The city will release the FINAL EIS for public review and comment April 27, 2018.

PROJECT LOCATION: The Lake Stevens Downtown Subarea, roughly 200 acres centered along Main Street, bound by the lake to the west, wetland areas to the east, Lakeshore Drive to the south and 22nd Street NE to the North.

COPIES OF FINAL EIS: Interested parties may purchase copies of the Final EIS from the City of Lake Stevens in printed and CD formats at the Permit Center, 1812 Main Street, Lake Stevens, WA.  Copies are also available for review at the Lake Stevens Library located at 1804 Main Street.

HOW TO APPEAL THE ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: You may appeal this environmental determination by submitting an appeal to the address below no later than 5:00 PM, May 11, 2018 (14 days from issuance). The appeal must be in written form, contain a concise statement of the matter being appealed and the basic rationale for the appeal.  A fee is required per the City’s Fee Resolution. Please note that failure to file a timely and complete appeal shall constitute a waiver of all rights to an administrative appeal under City code.

Appeals of the adequacy of the Final Environmental Impact Statement must be received by the SEPA Responsible Official no later than 5:00 PM, May 11, 2018, delivered in person, or by mail, email or fax to:
